Parthiv Patel, the Assistant Coach of Gujarat Titans (GT), has commended Vaibhav Sooryavanshi of Rajasthan Royals (RR) for his outstanding performance as the teams prepare for the IPL 2026 Qualifier 2. Patel emphasized that GT is devising targeted strategies to counter Sooryavanshi's batting prowess. He mentioned that the team has meticulously analyzed footage of the young player and, like their competitors, aims to dismiss him early in the match. However, he refrained from disclosing specific tactics, stating that the execution of their plans during the game will be crucial.

The upcoming match will see Gujarat Titans face off against Rajasthan Royals on Friday, vying for a chance to compete in the final against the reigning champions, Royal Challengers Bengaluru (RCB). Patel addressed the media on the eve of this significant clash in New Chandigarh.

This season, Sooryavanshi has been exceptional, accumulating 680 runs across 15 innings with an impressive average of 45.33 and a strike rate of 242.85. His achievements include a century and four half-centuries, with a top score of 103. He has also hit 55 fours and 65 sixes from 280 balls faced.
