Gujarat ATS Arrests Eight Alleged Members of JeM Terror Network

These suspects were reportedly working to establish a terrorist network in Gujarat and were apprehended just before executing a major attack. The arrests took place across various districts in Gujarat and one in Madhya Pradesh, highlighting the ongoing efforts to combat terrorism in the region. The identities of the arrested individuals have been disclosed, revealing their connections to local madrassas and their active roles in the organization.
 

Major Arrests by Gujarat Anti-Terrorist Squad

The Gujarat Anti-Terrorist Squad (ATS) has apprehended eight individuals believed to be affiliated with the banned terrorist organization Jaish-e-Mohammed (JeM). These suspects are accused of attempting to establish an active terrorist network within Gujarat to further the organization's agenda. According to the Gujarat ATS, the detainees had been actively working for the Pakistan-based group for the past six months, aiming to create an operational network in the state. Authorities indicated that these arrests occurred just as the group was planning to execute a significant terrorist plot.


Details of the Arrests

Seven of the suspects were taken into custody from various districts across Gujarat, while one was captured in the neighboring state of Madhya Pradesh. The ATS reported that three suspects were arrested in Banaskantha, three in Patan, one in Navsari, and one in Dewas.

The arrested individuals have been identified as follows:


Ahmed Abdullah Gazivala alias Abu Ubaida (19), resident of Bhagal, Palanpur, Banaskantha.


Ibrahim Mohammad Hussain Ghagha alias Abu Hamza (30), resident of Bhagal, Palanpur, Banaskantha.


Mudassir Abdullah Gazivala alias Abu Aya (22), resident of Bhagal, Palanpur, Banaskantha.


Zakariya Durani Mohammad Ammar Ghagha alias Ibn Ammar alias Zakariya Palanpuri (21), resident of Jamia Abul Hasan Madrasa, Khadiyasana, Siddhpur, Patan.


Mufti Fouzan Ismail Dawa alias Mufti Sahib (40), associated with Jamia Abul Hasan Madrasa, Khadiyasana, Siddhpur, Patan.


Mohammad Amin Shera alias Amin Palanpuri (21), associated with Jamia Abul Hasan Madrasa, Khadiyasana, Siddhpur, Patan.


Mohammad Abdul Rahman Sawdi alias Mohammad Palanpuri alias Abu Yunisa (22), associated with Jamia Rahmaniya Khambhiya, Ambheta, Chikhli, Navsari.


Bilal Durani Mohammad Ammar Ghagha alias Abu Dujana alias Abu Sufiyan alias Abu Jundal alias Umar bin Khattab (18), resident of Warsi Nagar, Dewas, Madhya Pradesh.
