A disturbing incident has emerged from a family conflict, where a grandfather is accused of shooting his 22-year-old grandson, resulting in critical injuries.

Reports indicate that Bhaderu Ram, who resides in Rinj village, was home alone while other family members were at work. At approximately 8 PM, the usually peaceful neighborhood was disrupted by gunfire, causing alarm among local residents.

The victim, Umesh Kumar, suffered severe injuries from the shooting. Neighbors quickly intervened, overpowering the alleged shooter and seizing the firearm to prevent any further danger. Umesh was promptly transported to Nerchowk Medical College for urgent medical attention.

Due to the severity of his injuries, medical staff later referred Umesh Kumar to AIIMS Bilaspur for advanced treatment.

It has been reported that the weapon involved in the incident was a licensed firearm, granted to Bhaderu Ram in 2004 for self-defense.

A police team, led by Superintendent of Police Vinod Kumar, arrived at the scene to conduct an investigation. They collected evidence with the help of a forensic team, and the suspect has been taken into custody.

Given the gravity of the situation, authorities have initiated a comprehensive investigation to determine the precise events that led to the shooting.
