A significant Hindu conference was held at Chougan Ground in Nurpur, organized by the Sanatan Hindu Sammelan Committee, in honor of Tulsi Poojan Day. The event attracted a large crowd of local residents, showcasing a blend of cultural and spiritual enthusiasm.

The gathering featured several distinguished guests, including Member of Parliament Dr. Rajiv Bhardwaj, MLA Ranbir Singh Nikka, former MLA Ajay Mahajan, Forest Development Corporation Director Yogesh Mahajan, and Municipal Council President Ashok Sharma, among others.
Keynote Address Highlights
Om Prakash, the Joint Provincial Pracharak of the Rashtriya Swayamsevak Sangh (RSS), delivered the keynote address, voicing concerns about the youth's increasing inclination towards drug use. He called for collective efforts to steer the younger generation away from addiction and urged parents to instill strong cultural values in their children. He also stressed the importance of educating youth about Hindu traditions and highlighted the urgent need for environmental conservation.
He mentioned that as part of the RSS centenary celebrations, a total of one lakh Hindu conferences are being organized nationwide, with the Nurpur event being a notable contribution. He praised the collaboration of 45 organizations that made the conference a resounding success.
Cultural and Spiritual Emphasis
Swami Ved Prakash Saraswati, the head of Atma Pragya Ashram Bagni, emphasized the supremacy of Sanatan Dharma and encouraged parents to shield their children from the pervasive influence of Western culture by teaching them about Hindu and Sanatan traditions.
The conference also included speeches from Retired Colonel Ashwani Kaushal and Devendra Sharma, the President of Shri Brijraj Swami Temple Committee.
Event Highlights
The event commenced with a peaceful Havan Yajna and a collective recitation of Sundar Kand. Schoolchildren showcased vibrant cultural performances, while the Gehi Lagod Ramleela Club presented an impressive tableau depicting Lord Ram’s family.

The organizing committee honored the dignitaries by gifting them Tulsi plants, symbolizing respect and cultural values. The program concluded with a community feast, reinforcing the essence of unity and tradition.
