Exciting Conclusion of the Pro Boxing League

New Delhi. The five-day Pro Boxing League (PBL), organized by the Indian Amateur Boxing Federation (IABF), concluded with great excitement and grandeur at the Talkatora Indoor Stadium late Friday night. Throughout this historic event, boxers from across the nation showcased their exceptional skills, entertaining thousands of sports enthusiasts with thrilling matches.


Inauguration by Arun Singh

The closing ceremony was inaugurated by Arun Singh, the National General Secretary of the Bharatiya Janata Party and Rajya Sabha MP, who lit the ceremonial lamp. Dr. Rakesh Mishra, the National President of the Indian Amateur Boxing Federation, welcomed all the distinguished guests present.

Among the attendees at the lamp-lighting ceremony were Ashok Singhal, Cabinet Minister of Assam, Vedprakash Tandon (Chairman, International Ramleela), former Mayor Jayprakash, Pandit Vedvyas Maharaj from Naimisharanya Tirth, Nishant Verma, President of the Andhra Pradesh Boxing Association, and R.S. Goswami (Senior Advocate, Supreme Court), along with many other esteemed guests.

The final matches on the fifth day were incredibly exciting, with players demonstrating excellent technique, courage, and sportsmanship, providing ample entertainment for the audience. Tarun Chugh, National General Secretary of the BJP and Rajya Sabha MP, also encouraged the athletes and praised the entire event.


A Packed Stadium Celebrates

The Talkatora Indoor Stadium was filled to capacity with players from across the country, their families, sports fans, and a large number of school and college students. As the winners were announced, the stadium erupted with applause and music. The victorious athletes expressed their joy through dance and enthusiasm.

The chief guest of the closing ceremony, Uttar Pradesh's Deputy Chief Minister Brijesh Pathak, awarded the winning athletes with championship medals, trophies, and special prizes. Male gold medalists received Honda motorcycles, while female gold medalists were honored with scooters.
