Government College Bharmour Hosts Successful Annual Sports Competition 2025-26

The Annual Sports Competition 2025-26 at Government College Bharmour concluded with exciting track and field events, highlighting the achievements of students in various disciplines. With Khushi and Suraj taking top honors in their respective races, the event underscored the significance of sports in fostering discipline and teamwork among students. Principal Dr. Hemantpal emphasized the holistic benefits of athletics, while faculty members and NSS volunteers contributed to the event's success. The competition not only showcased athletic talent but also reinforced the college's commitment to student development through sports.

The two-day Annual Sports Competition for the year 2025-26 at Government College Bharmour wrapped up on Saturday, featuring finals in various track and field events such as the 100m, 200m, 400m, 800m, and 1500m races, along with shot put, javelin throw, high jump, and long jump.


In the women's 100m race, Khushi took home the gold medal, while Manisha and Shabnam secured the silver and bronze, respectively. Suraj emerged victorious in the men's 1500m race, followed by Kartik in second place and Nitin in third.


Dr. Hemantpal, the college principal and chief guest, highlighted the importance of sports in fostering the overall development of students. He urged attendees to embrace discipline, dedication, and teamwork as essential life values.


Assistant Professor Swaroop Kumar shared the annual sports report, and event coordinator Vivek Kumar expressed gratitude during the vote of thanks. The event concluded with the singing of the national anthem.


The competition saw participation from NSS volunteers and faculty members, including Dr. Rajendra Singh, Naresh Kumar, Vivek Kumar, Vishal Ahir, and Dr. Arvind Thooktan, along with non-teaching staff.
