In a surprising turn of events, workers in Lakkundi village, Karnataka, uncovered gold jewelry while digging for a house foundation. The discovery, which includes 470 grams of various ornaments, was reported by a local student who found the items in a copper pot. Authorities quickly responded to the scene, leading to the confiscation of the jewelry. Discovery of Gold in Gadag District

In the village of Lakkundi, located in Karnataka's Gadag district, workers engaged in digging for a house foundation stumbled upon gold. According to police reports, the government has seized 470 grams of gold jewelry, including necklaces and earrings, which were uncovered during the excavation on Saturday.


As per police statements, an eighth-grade student named Prajwal Rithvik noticed the jewelry stored in a copper pot. Rohan Jagdish, the Superintendent of Police in Gadag, informed reporters, "The boy responsibly alerted the senior members of the village about his find. Following this, officials from various departments and evaluators arrived at the scene. A total of 22 items were found in the pot and have since been confiscated."
