Giriraj Singh Criticizes Rahul Gandhi, Claims Congress Has Changed
Central Minister's Strong Remarks
On Thursday, Central Minister Giriraj Singh targeted Prime Minister Narendra Modi while responding sharply to comments made by Congress leader Rahul Gandhi. Singh asserted that the Congress party is no longer the same entity that participated in the freedom struggle, claiming it has transformed into a 'Maoist, Muslim Congress.' Speaking before a cabinet meeting chaired by Modi, Singh dismissed suggestions that the high-level gathering was convened in response to Gandhi's remarks.
Regular Cabinet Meetings
Singh emphasized that the meeting was pre-scheduled and not called due to Gandhi's statements, noting that cabinet meetings occur regularly. He launched a fierce attack on Gandhi, stating that the Congress leader's influence in the country has diminished. According to Singh, the party has strayed from its original values and now represents a different ideology.
Support for PM Modi
He accused Congress leaders of repeatedly insulting the Prime Minister, asserting that the public continues to support Modi. Singh remarked that despite the derogatory remarks, the citizens have affection for Modi. He personally criticized Gandhi, highlighting his legal troubles and suggesting that the language used against Modi was inappropriate for an opposition leader. Singh defended Modi's leadership during national crises, stating that the Prime Minister has consistently stood by the nation.
Response to Rahul Gandhi's Comments
These comments followed Gandhi's sharp criticism of Modi during a public meeting in Amethi, where he warned of an impending economic storm for India due to ongoing conflicts in West Asia and unrest around the Strait of Hormuz. Gandhi accused Modi of failing to prepare the country for crises and mocked the Prime Minister's recent meeting with Italian Prime Minister Giorgia Meloni, suggesting they were merely enjoying candies and filming videos.
