Incident at Local Eatery Sparks Outrage
A troubling incident has emerged from Ghaziabad, where a customer noticed unsanitary practices at a local eatery while bread was being prepared. The establishment, later identified as 'Chicken Point', gained notoriety after a video surfaced showing an employee allegedly spitting on the dough before making rotis. This eatery is located near Rapid Rail Pillar Number 750 in the Duhai area, close to the Madhuban Bapudham police station.
Video Evidence Leads to Arrest
According to a report from a local news outlet, the incident occurred on the evening of January 2, when a customer named Harsh Chaudhary visited the restaurant with friends and witnessed some alarming behavior during the bread-making process. He recorded a video that showed a worker, later identified as Javed Ansari, mishandling the dough before placing it in the tandoor oven.
Police Action Following Viral Video
On Thursday evening, police apprehended a cook at a roadside dhaba in Ghaziabad after a video went viral on social media, showing him allegedly spitting on the dough before making chapatis. The incident took place near the Vardhman Puram police outpost along the Delhi-Meerut Road in the Madhuban Bapudham area. Witnesses reported seeing the cook spitting on the flour and chapatis, prompting them to record the incident, which quickly spread across social media platforms.
Investigation Underway
Based on the video evidence, authorities tracked down the suspect and made the arrest. The cook has been identified as Javed Ansari, a resident of Muradnagar. Assistant Commissioner of Police (Kavinagar) Surya Bali Maurya stated that the owner of 'Chicken Point', a man named Wasim, is also under scrutiny. The police are investigating whether the owner was present at the time of the incident and are reviewing the validity of the eatery's license. Furthermore, a report has been submitted to the food safety and health departments for appropriate legal action against the owner.
