In a dedicated initiative for road safety, the traffic police in Gaggal took action on Wednesday by confiscating illegal fog lights from two-wheeled vehicles. Riders were cautioned and allowed to go, but officials made it clear that repeated offenses would result in fines.
Traffic In-Charge Bijender Singh highlighted that the Motor Vehicles Act prohibits the use of high-intensity fog lights or any additional lighting on two-wheelers. Such modifications can blind oncoming drivers, significantly heightening the chances of accidents.
This initiative aims to enhance awareness among drivers and promote safer travel conditions for all road users.
