Regulatory Crackdown on E-Commerce Platforms

New Delhi: The Food Safety and Standards Authority of India (FSSAI) announced on Wednesday that it has begun legal proceedings against several e-commerce platforms, including Amazon, Swiggy Instamart, BigBasket, Flipkart India, and Zepto, due to various violations, such as misleading advertising and the sale of banned products.

In a recent social media update, FSSAI highlighted its significant enforcement actions against these platforms for failing to comply with food safety regulations.
