In a recent encounter in the Hazaribagh district of Jharkhand, security forces eliminated four Maoists. The police reported that this operation took place in the Batuka forest area under the Keredari police station following a tip-off. In a separate incident earlier this week, a senior police official revealed that four security personnel sustained injuries during a fierce gunfight with a Maoist group led by Misir Besra in West Singhbhum. Misir Besra has a bounty of ₹1 crore on his head. Authorities indicated that this encounter began in the Saranda forest area under the Chotanagpur police station and continued intermittently throughout the morning.
