Four Cyber Criminals Arrested in Guwahati Operations

Police Crackdown on Cyber Crime


Guwahati, Dec 25: In a significant operation, the police in Dispur have apprehended four individuals linked to cyber crime activities across various locations in the city. The suspects have been named as Suden Basumatary, Dina Singh, Ganga Chandra Brahma, and Bablu Sarkar.


Authorities revealed that this group is connected to several recent cyber crime incidents reported within the state. Suden Basumatary is from Balagari in the Chirang district, while Dina Singh resides in Sagalband, Imphal West, Manipur. Ganga Chandra Brahma is from Balajol Tiniali in Kokrajhar district, and Bablu Sarkar is a native of Bongaigaon.


They face charges under various sections including 61(2), 319(2), 318(4), 338, 336(3), 340(2), and 3(5) of the BNS, related to case number 954/2025 filed with the Dispur police.


Additionally, the Dispur police have also detained a well-known motorcycle thief, Kismat Ali, in the Hatigaon area. Ali is reported to be from Sidoli in the Barpeta district.
