Foundation Laid for Parol–Bhiora Link Road in Chamba

In a significant development for Chamba, Vidhan Sabha Speaker Kuldeep Singh Pathania has laid the foundation stone for the Parol–Bhiora link road. This ₹90 lakh project aims to improve connectivity for local residents, facilitating better access to education, healthcare, and emergency services. The road, a long-standing demand of the community, will also be extended to connect with the Motla–Kathla link road. Pathania's commitment to quality and timely completion, along with addressing local grievances, highlights the importance of infrastructure development in the region. Today, Vidhan Sabha Speaker Kuldeep Singh Pathania inaugurated the foundation stone for the Parol–Bhiora link road in the Gram Panchayat Gola, located within the Bhatiyat Assembly constituency. This project, with an estimated budget of ₹90 lakh, aims to enhance regional development.


The event saw enthusiastic participation from the local community. In his address, Speaker Pathania highlighted that the road has been a long-awaited request from residents. Upon completion, it will facilitate safe and easy access to Parol, Bhiora, and surrounding villages, significantly improving travel and access to essential services such as education and healthcare.


Additionally, he announced plans to extend the Parol–Bhiora road to connect with the Motla–Kathla link road. Pathania instructed departmental officials to prepare cost estimates for constructing an iron bridge over the Bhiora rivulet to accommodate this expansion.


To ensure quality and timely execution, the Speaker emphasized the need for regular monitoring of the construction work. He also urged the Public Works Department to initiate a survey for the Padar–Tala link road promptly, stressing the importance of a robust road network for the comprehensive development of the region.


During the event, Pathania addressed various concerns raised by residents, resolving several issues on the spot and directing relevant departments to handle the remaining matters.


The ceremony was attended by numerous dignitaries and officials, including Chela Krishan Chand (Member, State Forest Corporation), SDM Paras Agrawal, DSP Sher Singh, DFO Rajnish Kumar, Deputy Director of Higher Education Vikas Mahajan, BDO Anil Gurada, Executive Engineer Rakesh Thakur, Pankaj Rathour, Narendra Chaudhary, along with various departmental officers and local citizens.
