Shiver, now 32, revealed that her relationship with Moore began in 2022 while she was interning and he was the offensive coordinator. Following Moore's promotion to head coach in 2024, Shiver became his executive assistant, reporting directly to him.

Shiver ended the relationship on December 8, and just two days later, Michigan terminated Moore after she reported the situation, which was deemed a breach of his contract. Following his dismissal, Moore confronted Shiver at her apartment, leading to a police incident where he allegedly threatened self-harm. He was later apprehended in a church parking lot after his wife expressed concerns for his safety.


Body camera footage revealed that while Moore acknowledged the relationship, he denied any wrongdoing regarding the confrontation. Recently, he entered a no contest plea to charges related to the incident, resulting in 18 months of probation and a no-contact order with Shiver. She expressed her belief that the consequences were insufficient, stating, "I don't think it reflects what he did to me. He took no accountability."

Shiver made alarming claims about the coaching staff, stating they often instructed her to comfort Moore during his emotional moments, even during games. Despite an investigation into the relationship last fall, both parties denied any wrongdoing. Shiver expressed distrust in the process, feeling it favored Moore over her.
