Arrest of Former Judge in High-Profile Case

In a significant development, the Central Bureau of Investigation (CBI) apprehended former judge Giribala Singh on Thursday, linked to the tragic death of her daughter-in-law, Twisha Sharma. This arrest occurred just one day after the Madhya Pradesh High Court revoked her anticipatory bail.

According to officials, a CBI team conducted an interrogation at Singh's residence located in the Bag Mughaliya extension area of Bhopal before taking her into custody.

Twisha's husband, Samarth Singh, who is also a lawyer, is currently in the custody of the CBI, as confirmed by agency sources.

The CBI intends to cross-examine both individuals regarding their statements and investigate the events surrounding the death of 33-year-old Twisha, which took place on May 12. The agency plans to present Giribala Singh before a relevant court to request her custody.
