Jaipur, January 8, 2026: A major operation was conducted by the food safety department in Jaipur, targeting a large warehouse as part of a crackdown on adulteration and quality control. During this raid, a total of 15,630 kilograms of pulses were confiscated. The team collected several samples of the pulses on-site, which have been dispatched to the state food laboratory for analysis.

  • Location: The raid took place at a wholesale trader's warehouse in the Vishwakarma Industrial Area or nearby region.


  • Reason: Complaints were received suggesting that the pulses might be adulterated or of inferior quality. There were suspicions of pesticide residues, adulteration, or violations of storage standards.


  • Seized Quantity: A total of 15,630 kilograms (approximately 156 quintals) of pulses were seized.
