Food Safety Department Launches Milk Quality Campaign in Bhivadi and Mundawar

In a proactive measure to ensure the safety of dairy products, the Food Safety Department in Rajasthan has launched a campaign targeting milk quality. The initiative involves collecting samples from various locations, including restaurants and dairies, to test for adulteration. With inspections already underway in Bhivadi and Mundawar, the department aims to uphold food safety standards and take necessary actions against any violations. This campaign will continue for four days, focusing on maintaining the integrity of milk and dairy products in the region.
 

Initiative to Ensure Dairy Product Safety


Khairthal-Tijara. Following directives from the Food Safety and Drug Administration in Jaipur, a special campaign focusing on milk quality was initiated in the district. On Tuesday, the food safety team collected samples of milk, yogurt, and paneer from the Bhivadi and Mundawar areas.


Dr. Arvind Get, the Chief Medical and Health Officer, reported that an inspection was conducted at Shri Shyam Restaurant located at Mansa Chowk in Bhivadi based on a complaint. During the inspection, samples of yogurt and paneer were taken. The restaurant was also instructed to maintain cleanliness due to observed sanitation issues, in accordance with the Food Safety and Standards Act of 2006.


Subsequently, the food safety team took three samples of mixed milk from Sakhi Milk Producer Private Limited Dairy, Shri Shyam Dairy, and Diya Dairy located in Balluwas village, Mundawar tehsil. All samples have been sent to the state food safety laboratory for testing. Necessary actions will be taken based on the test results.


Dr. Get emphasized that the special campaign aimed at preventing adulteration in milk and dairy products will continue for the next four days. During this period, samples of suspicious food items will be collected for quality testing, and any violations of food safety standards will result in appropriate actions against the offenders.
