Police Action Against Officers for Duty Negligence

In response to illegal sand mining and transportation, five police officers, including an assistant sub-inspector, have been suspended for failing to perform their duties adequately.

A senior police official disclosed this information on Tuesday. Rajesh Kumar Meena, the Superintendent of Police in Tonk, informed a news agency that the suspensions were based on multiple grounds, including non-compliance with directives aimed at preventing sand mining and general negligence in duty.

He mentioned that Assistant Police Inspector Prahlad Narayan and Constable Saboolal, stationed at the Sop police station, were suspended due to their lack of diligence. Both officers are set to face departmental inquiries.

Additionally, Head Constable Satyaprakash, Driver Constable Rajendra, and Constable Omprakash Yadav from the Aligarh police station have also been suspended. A video showing a tractor-trailer loaded with sand leaving the Sop police station without inspection was submitted to the Superintendent by some individuals on January 10.
