Balasore: Authorities have apprehended five individuals involved in poaching activities in the Kuldiha forest area of Odisha, as confirmed by an official on Sunday.
The arrests occurred on Saturday when the suspects were reportedly attempting to steal a trap camera set up in the forest, and their actions were captured by another surveillance camera.
Acting on this information, a team of forest officials conducted a raid near the Chem Chala beat house, leading to the capture of the poachers.
Among the arrested, four are residents of the Oupada region in Balasore district, while the fifth hails from the adjacent Mayurbhanj district.
