In the early hours of Wednesday, a fire broke out in the market located in Kotla Mubarakpur, Delhi, resulting in the destruction of at least six shops housed in a tin shed, according to officials.
A fire department official reported that they received the alert at 4:08 AM, prompting the dispatch of nine fire engines to the scene. The blaze was brought under control by approximately 6:15 AM.
Fortunately, there have been no reports of injuries or fatalities. The fire affected various shops selling items such as clothing, tarpaulins, stationery, and cosmetics.
Preliminary investigations suggest that the fire may have been caused by a short circuit, although the exact cause remains undetermined.
