Fire Incident in Worli, Mumbai

In the early hours of Friday, a fire erupted at a shop located in the Gandhi Nagar area of Worli, Mumbai, resulting in injuries to a firefighter during the rescue efforts, as reported by an official.


The blaze reportedly started around 4:45 AM. The fire caused significant damage to the shop, affecting electrical wiring, equipment, various goods, stationery, clothing, computers, and even a motorcycle.


Upon receiving the alert, teams from the fire department and police quickly arrived at the scene to initiate firefighting operations. During these efforts, firefighter Ajindra Sawant sustained an injury to his hand and was promptly taken to Nair Hospital for treatment. The official noted that the fire was brought under control by approximately 7:15 AM. An investigation is currently underway to determine the cause of the fire.
