Fire at Jhansi Plastic Factory Contained After 10-Hour Battle
Fire Incident in Jhansi's Industrial Area
In the industrial zone of Bijouli, located in Jhansi district, firefighters managed to control a blaze at a plastic factory and warehouse after approximately ten hours of effort, concluding by Sunday afternoon. Fortunately, there were no reports of injuries resulting from the incident.
Authorities indicated that the diligent work of the firefighters was crucial in preventing the fire from spreading to nearby factories. Tulsi Ram Pandey, the officer in charge of the Premnagar police station, reported that the fire erupted around 2:30 AM on the night between Saturday and Sunday at the plastic scrap factory and warehouse owned by a businessman named Sajid Khan. The fire intensified due to the presence of plastic waste stored on the premises.
He further noted that with the assistance of nearly forty fire department vehicles, the fire was brought under control by Sunday afternoon. Aside from the significant amount of plastic debris that was burned, no other damages have been reported, and there were no casualties. The police are currently assessing the extent of the damage.
