FBI Investigates El Charro Cafe in Connection with Nancy Guthrie's Disappearance
Investigation at El Charro Cafe
Federal Bureau of Investigation agents have reportedly interviewed employees at El Charro Cafe, a Mexican restaurant in Tucson, which was frequented by Nancy Guthrie and her daughter Savannah shortly before her mysterious disappearance. The 84-year-old was in Tucson last October to support her daughter during a segment for the Today show, which included visits to significant locations from Guthrie's past, including the restaurant.
According to Brian Entin from a news outlet, investigators inquired whether the restaurant staff recalled seeing anyone acting suspiciously during the filming. They were also asked if there were individuals who appeared overly interested in taking photos or who exhibited any unsettling behavior. It remains unclear if the staff provided any useful information to aid the investigation. El Charro Cafe was one of several sites revisited by authorities as part of their ongoing search for Guthrie.
While the journalist did not specify the restaurant's name, El Charro Café had previously posted clips online showcasing the filming of the segment. Guthrie has been missing from her Tucson residence since earlier this year, and the investigation into her case is still active.

Latest Updates from the Search
The search for Nancy Guthrie has now reached its sixth week, with law enforcement expressing concerns that the individual responsible for her disappearance may pose a threat to others. Pima County Sheriff Chris Nanos stated in an interview with NBC News that investigators suspect Guthrie may have been deliberately targeted. However, he warned that it is essential to remain vigilant, as the suspect could potentially commit further crimes. "Criminal minds are criminal minds," Nanos remarked to NBC reporter Liz Kreutz. "We believe we know why he did this and we believe that it was targeted, but we're not 100% sure of that," he added. "So it'd be silly to tell people, ‘Don't worry about it. You're not his target.' You could be."
In a previous interview on the Today show on February 18, Nanos indicated that the circumstances surrounding Guthrie's disappearance might have been intentional. "I think this was an individual who had a target for whatever reason, and he has made it tough, but I've got some pretty tough investigators too," he stated.
