Farmers Anticipate Next Payment

Farmers across the nation are eagerly looking forward to the 22nd installment of the Prime Minister Kisan Samman Nidhi scheme. This initiative by the Modi government provides eligible farmers with ₹2,000 three times a year. To date, the government has disbursed 21 installments, with the most recent one released in November 2025. The next payment is expected to be issued in February, following the usual four-month interval between installments. However, this has yet to be officially confirmed.

Significant Financial Support

Notably, the 21st installment released last November exceeded ₹18,000 crores, benefiting nearly nine crore farmers nationwide. Launched on February 24, 2019, the PM Kisan Samman Nidhi scheme offers each eligible farmer family an annual financial aid of ₹6,000.

Inclusivity in the Scheme

Previously, Union Agriculture Minister Shivraj Singh Chouhan stated that the government is prepared to extend the ₹6,000 annual cash benefit to all eligible farmers who have not yet enrolled in the PM Kisan scheme. This centrally funded initiative, effective from December 1, 2018, provides income support to all landholding farmer families in three equal installments.
