A Life Altered by Tragedy

Jaipur. Four years ago, Baboolal Bairwa from Dausa district faced a life-changing accident. After being severely injured when he was buried under a mound of soil in Mahindra Sej, he is now unable to stand. Living life in a wheelchair, Baboolal's family is grappling with both financial hardships and health issues.

The Accident and Its Aftermath

Approximately four years back, while working at Mahindra Sej, Baboolal was trapped under a heap of soil. He was rescued by an L&T machine, but the machine's claw caused significant damage to his back and leg nerves. According to doctors, he is now completely incapable of standing or walking. Since the accident, he has been on bed rest, relying solely on his wheelchair for mobility.

Although Baboolal is originally from Dausa, his family relocated to Jaipur in search of better medical care and facilities. This move has increased their living expenses, while their income sources have dwindled.

Pinky's Silent Sacrifice

The backbone of the family and its sole breadwinner is Baboolal's wife, Pinky Bairwa. Despite being a mother of two young children, she sets up a paratha stall near the Sanganer Airport Terminal-2 every day from morning till evening. Regardless of the weather—be it heat, rain, or cold—she stands by the roadside to support her family. Her hands often develop blisters from cooking, yet she perseveres.

Tragically, Pinky also suffers from a serious kidney ailment. Doctors frequently advise her to rest and seek treatment, but with no other income earners in the household, she feels compelled to continue working. Balancing her husband's care, her children's education, and her own health issues, she remains undeterred.

Current Family Situation

Baboolal has been dependent on bed rest and his wheelchair for four years, requiring regular medication and physiotherapy. Meanwhile, Pinky, despite her kidney condition, continues to work at the paratha stall. They have two minor children whose education is at risk due to their circumstances. With no stable income and waiting for government assistance, the family is in dire straits.

They have reached out multiple times to local authorities and charitable organizations for help, but adequate support has yet to materialize. Pinky states, “My husband’s accident has left him bedridden, but I am fighting for my children. My health isn’t great either, but I have no choice.”
