Disciplinary Hearing Outcome

According to reports from a sports news outlet, the decision followed a disciplinary hearing led by match referee Roshan Mahanama. It was determined that Fakhar had indeed altered the ball's condition, breaching article 41.3 of the PSL's code of conduct. Although he contested the allegations, the hearing was convened to ascertain the facts. Under the PSL regulations, a player can face a suspension ranging from one to two matches for a first-time level three offense.


Incident Details

The controversy arose at the beginning of the final over during the Kings' chase. On-field umpire Faisal Afridi requested the ball from Haris Rauf after it had been passed between Shaheen Shah Afridi and Fakhar. Following a detailed discussion between Afridi and Sharfuddoula, they decided to replace the ball, suspecting it had been tampered with.
