In Maharashtra, a startling incident has come to light involving a man named Dattatray Sadashiv Pawar, who opened a clinic without holding any medical qualifications. For the past three years, he has been treating patients suffering from serious ailments such as diabetes and bone issues. Pawar admitted that he had only undergone four days of training in Satara, which he used as a basis to establish his clinic in Pandharpur. He charged patients ₹500 per visit and reportedly treated around 70 to 80 patients daily.
Discovery After Local Suspicion
The clinic was located behind the Narayan Dev Baba Bhakt Niwas near the Chandrabhaga bus stand on Old Akluj Road in Pandharpur. Some local residents grew suspicious of his practices and alerted the health department.
Health Department Raids the Clinic
With assistance from the police and municipal authorities, the health department conducted a raid on the clinic. During the operation, it was discovered that Pawar lacked any license or medical certification to operate a clinic.
