During his appearance on Star Sports, du Plessis highlighted Gaikwad's impressive tactical insight and composed leadership, even in previous matches where CSK struggled. He stated, "Ruturaj Gaikwad's captaincy has been commendable. In earlier games, he made no tactical errors that hindered CSK's performance," according to JioStar expert du Plessis.
