Explosion Shakes Solan District

On Thursday morning, an explosion occurred near a police station in the Solan district of Himachal Pradesh, instilling fear among the residents of Nalagarh.

Authorities confirmed that there were no casualties, and investigations are underway to determine the cause of the blast.

The explosion, which took place in an alley close to the Nalagarh police station, was powerful enough to shatter windows of nearby buildings, including those of an army canteen located 40 meters away from the site.

Local residents reported that the sound of the explosion could be heard from a distance of 400 to 500 meters. One eyewitness noted that the impact was strong enough to break glass that was 16 millimeters thick. The police quickly cordoned off the area.

Vinod Dhiman, the Superintendent of Police in Baddi, stated that the blast occurred around 9:40 AM, and forensic teams have collected samples from various locations. He mentioned that the exact cause and the chemicals involved would be identified once the team's report is available.

During a conversation with reporters, he indicated that there had been no emails or threatening phone calls received. He also mentioned that CCTV footage is being reviewed. There is a significant amount of scrap in the area, raising concerns that the explosion could have been caused by paint or other materials.

Dhiman urged scrap dealers to exercise caution and appealed to the public to report any suspicious individuals or activities. He reassured that there is no atmosphere of panic in the area and that there is no cause for concern.
