Expansion of Bodoland Territorial Council with New Executive Members

The Bodoland Territorial Council has recently expanded its Executive Council by inducting three new Members of the Council Legislative Assembly. This move aims to strengthen the council's administrative framework and enhance governance in the Bodoland Territorial Region. The swearing-in ceremony, attended by various dignitaries, marks a significant step in streamlining the council's operations and supporting its developmental initiatives. With this expansion, the BTC now comprises 17 members, poised to improve its administrative efficiency.
 

Bodoland Territorial Council Welcomes New Members


Kokrajhar, March 6: The Bodoland Territorial Council (BTC) has expanded its Executive Council with the addition of three new Members of the Council Legislative Assembly (MCLAs) during a swearing-in ceremony held at the BTC Legislative Assembly auditorium in Bodofa Nwgwr, Kokrajhar.


The newly appointed Executive Members include Maheswar Basumatary from the Goreswar (ST) constituency, Lakhi Das from the Nagrijuli (Non-ST) constituency, and Karmeswar Roy, who is a government-nominated member.


This expansion brings the total number of members in the BTC Executive Council to 17, thereby enhancing the council's administrative capabilities.


The oath of office was administered by Mukesh C. Sahu, who serves as the Additional Chief Secretary to the Government of Assam and Principal Secretary of the BTC.


Numerous dignitaries and officials attended the event, including Executive Members Derhasat Basumatary and Moon Moon Brahma, MCLA Jubiraj Basumatary, BTC Additional Principal Secretary Pranjit Kr Wary, along with other senior officials and secretaries from the council.


The inclusion of these three Executive Members is anticipated to improve the administrative efficiency of the BTC and bolster the council's governance and development efforts in the Bodoland Territorial Region.
