Day 8 Highlights from Rajgir

On the eighth day of the 16th Hockey India Sub Junior Men National Championship 2026 held in Rajgir, Bihar, teams from Dadra & Nagar Haveli and Daman & Diu, Hockey Punjab, Uttar Pradesh Hockey, and Hockey Madhya Pradesh achieved victories in their respective quarter-final matches at the Rajgir Sports Complex. In the first match of the day, Dadra & Nagar Haveli and Daman & Diu Hockey triumphed over Hockey Chandigarh with a score of 2-1. The team's captain, Dhiraj Pal, netted two goals at the 27th and 42nd minutes, while Jasmeet Singh scored for Hockey Chandigarh in the 59th minute.


Quarter-Final Match Results

1. **Hockey Punjab vs. Hockey Jharkhand**: Hockey Punjab emerged victorious with a 5-3 scoreline in a thrilling encounter. Rajveer Singh contributed significantly with two goals (29', 56'), alongside Akash Deep (11'), Sahabajpreet Singh (32'), and Sanmukh Singh (39'). 2. **Uttar Pradesh Hockey vs. Hockey Association of Odisha**: Uttar Pradesh Hockey secured a convincing 6-3 win.
