Escalating Tensions: Trump Issues Stark Warning to Iran Following Bridge Collapse
Heightened Conflict Between the US and Iran
The ongoing conflict between the United States and Iran has reached a perilous stage. Just hours after the collapse of the strategically vital B1 bridge in Iran, President Donald Trump issued a direct and alarming warning to Tehran's new government. Trump emphasized that American military actions have not yet peaked, and the remaining infrastructure in Iran is now in their sights.
Trump's Threats Targeting Infrastructure
In a post on Truth Social, the US President stated, "Our military, the greatest and most powerful in the world (by far!), has not yet begun to destroy what remains in Iran. The next targets are bridges, followed by power plants!" He reiterated that many of Iran's major military installations have already been damaged or destroyed during the past month of conflict. Trump urged the leaders of Iran's new government to act swiftly, hinting at a potential appeal for a ceasefire with Washington.
Casualties from US-Israel Attacks
This incident occurred shortly after Trump's stern warning, where he advised Iran to reach an agreement before it was too late. He also shared a video of the B1 bridge's destruction, which is considered one of the most significant infrastructure projects in Western Asia. Reports indicate that at least eight civilians lost their lives, and 95 others were injured due to the US-Israel strikes targeting the B1 bridge in Karaj, resulting in substantial damage in the surrounding area.
According to Iranian state media, 'Press TV', among the deceased were 'Iranian travelers' and 'local villagers' who were near the infrastructure at the time of the attack. The report noted that some of the victims were families who had gathered to celebrate 'Nature Day', leading to a large number of people being outdoors. Trump also shared a video on Truth Social showing an explosion, warning that 'Iran's largest bridge will collapse and will never be usable again.' He further stated that Tehran should reach an agreement before it is too late, or risk losing everything that still makes it a great nation.
