Iran's Retaliation Following US Airstrikes

In response to recent airstrikes by the United States targeting Iranian military installations, the Islamic Revolutionary Guard Corps (IRGC) Navy declared that it has struck US military sites in the area as retaliation, according to reports from IRNA News Agency. Ebrahim Azizi, a member of Iran's Islamic Consultative Assembly, criticized the US for failing to adhere to a ceasefire, stating that the blame-shifting tactics are no longer effective. He expressed on social media, "The U.S. has once again attacked Iran amidst negotiations. The ineffective U.S. leadership has demonstrated a lack of commitment to negotiation principles or ceasefire agreements. This reckless breach of the ceasefire will inevitably lead to regret on their part. The blame game is no longer viable."

'Violence Will Be Met with Violence': US Vice President

US Vice President JD Vance remarked that if Iran has concerns regarding the implementation of the Memorandum of Understanding (MOU), they should communicate directly. He stated on social media, "Iran signed a ceasefire agreement, and we have upheld it. If they have issues with how the MOU is being executed, they can reach out. However, any violence will be met with an equal response."

Meanwhile, Ibrahim al-Fiqar, the official military spokesperson for Iran's Khatam al-Anbiya Central Headquarters, which oversees the IRGC and the regular Iranian military, warned that Iran's response to the US attack would be unprecedented. He stated in a series of posts on social media, "Look to the skies. The American aggression occurred shortly after the Zionist entity breached the ceasefire in southern Lebanon, and Washington failed to meet its commitments. Prepare for a significant response, as you have no protector tonight."

This latest escalation follows a brief period of agreement between Washington and Tehran to cease hostilities after weeks of military confrontations.
