Local media reported that Iranian lawmakers have suggested imposing tolls and taxes on vessels transiting through the strategically important Hormuz Strait. Somayeh Rafiei, an Iranian parliament member, informed the ISNA news agency that they are working on a plan that would require ships using the Strait for transit, energy, and food security to pay tolls and taxes to the Islamic Republic.

According to Reuters, Oman, which previously mediated talks between the U.S. and Iran, has urged other nations to avoid targeting civilian infrastructure and emphasized the need to adhere to international law.

Saudi Arabia Halts Oil Loading at Yanbu Port

Sources informed Reuters that oil loading was halted at Saudi Arabia's Yanbu port on Thursday. This incident occurred after the country's defense ministry intercepted a ballistic missile that was flying over the city. Earlier that morning, a drone crashed at the SAMREF refinery in Saudi Arabia, where damage assessments are currently underway.
