Lawyers argued that the police acted violently against peaceful protesters without any warning and requested the court to summon Additional DCP Sandeep Lamba, who was accused of physically assaulting a woman standing on the sidelines during the protest. In opposition to the petitions, the Delhi police contended that the so-called peaceful protest was not peaceful, citing videos showing police officers being injured.
