Nurpur: Today, a monthly meeting focused on crime review was held, presided over by the Superintendent of Police in Nurpur. The gathering included the Additional Superintendent of Police, Sub-Divisional Police Officers, Station House Officers, Police Post In-Charges, Chief Clerk, Security In-Charge, and Cyber Cell In-Charge.
The discussions centered on enhancing law enforcement, accelerating the resolution of pending cases, and elevating the standards of investigations. Strategies were formulated to tackle illegal mining, conduct financial inquiries in NDPS cases, and draft proposals under the PIT ND&PS Act.
A significant focus was placed on preventing cybercrime and ensuring thorough investigations. The Superintendent instructed officers to act promptly against online financial fraud, cyber scams, and social media-related crimes. The importance of awareness campaigns regarding cyber safety and promoting the national cyber helpline number 1930 was emphasized.
The meeting underscored the necessity for modernizing policing methods, with directives to optimize the use of digital platforms and police portals. Security measures for the upcoming Amarnath Yatra were assessed to guarantee a safe and orderly event.
