The Deputy Chief Whip of the Himachal Pradesh Assembly, Kewal Singh Pathania, has revealed plans to enhance the organization of the Chhatrari Jatra Fair, aiming to align it with the prestigious Minjar Fair known internationally.

During the closing cultural event held at the historic Maa Shiv-Shakti temple in Chhatrari, Pathania expressed his appreciation to Chief Minister Thakur Sukhvinder Singh Sukhu for elevating the fair to state-level status, which he believes will spotlight the area's rich religious and folk culture.

He mentioned that a detailed action plan will be developed to improve various aspects of the fair, including cultural programs, facilities, and overall organization. The Sub-Divisional Administration has been tasked with evaluating the fair's potential and creating a strategy to enhance its appeal, encouraging more local and tourist participation.

Pathania also urged officials to prepare cost estimates for beautifying and renovating the temple, as well as to find appropriate land for public toilet construction. He announced a financial support of ₹51,000 for the organizing committee.

Earlier in the event, the committee recognized Pathania for his contributions. Notable attendees included Surjeet Bharmauri (Member Director of the State Road Transport Corporation & District Congress Committee President), Hajj Committee Chairman Dildar Ali Watt, SDM Chirag Sharma, District Language Officer Tukesh Sharma, local Panchayat Pradhan Rinku Bhardwaj, and other distinguished guests.
