The Nurpur Police District has implemented extensive security protocols to guarantee a smooth and fair election process for the upcoming Panchayati Raj Institution elections across its four development blocks: Indora, Fatehpur, Nagrota Surian, and Nurpur.
A comprehensive action plan has been established to uphold law and order during the voting period. Approximately 800 personnel will be on duty, comprising around 500 police officers and 300 home guards. Quick Reaction Teams (QRTs) are on standby to address any emergencies that may arise. The Additional Superintendent of Police, along with three Sub-Divisional Police Officers (SDPOs), will oversee the overall security operations.

According to the State Election Commission's announcement, voting will occur from 7:00 AM to 3:00 PM. The counting of votes for the positions of Pradhan, Up-Pradhan, and Ward Members will commence immediately after polling at the respective Panchayat levels. The counting for Block Development Committee (BDC) and Zila Parishad members is set for May 31, with secure strong rooms and counting centers established in all four blocks.
To ensure efficient operations, all election duty personnel have been provided with a special guide booklet titled ‘Digdarshika’, which includes essential contact information.
