Tragic Incident in Bengaluru

An engineer tragically took his own life at a construction site in Nallurahalli, Bengaluru, reportedly due to harassment and demands for money from two neighbors. This information was confirmed by local police on Thursday.

According to the police, Lakshmi Govindaraju filed a complaint on Wednesday, alleging that Usha Nambiar and Shashi Nambiar repeatedly contacted her son Murali, demanding ₹20 lakh over a property dispute.

Murali was in the process of constructing a house on land he purchased in 2018. The complainant claimed that after Murali refused to pay, Usha and Shashi Nambiar, along with some officials from the Bruhat Bengaluru Mahanagara Palike (BBMP), visited the construction site and subjected him to mental harassment.

Govindaraju reported that Murali left home on the morning of December 3, and later, his body was discovered hanging from a hook on the second floor of the building. A carpenter named Ganesh, who was working at the site, found Murali's body and subsequently informed the family.

Govindaraju is now seeking legal action against the two accused, and the police have registered a case and are currently investigating the matter.
