Empowering Youth for India's Future: Insights from Jyotiraditya Scindia

At the IIIT-Delhi tech fest ESYA, Union Minister Jyotiraditya Scindia called on the youth to shape India's future and establish it as a global leader. He emphasized the importance of innovation and responsible AI, while also urging students to return to India with their knowledge gained abroad. Scindia highlighted India's rich heritage and the need for solutions rooted in its values, encouraging students to contribute to the nation's development. His inspiring message included three key principles for the youth to follow as they embark on this journey.

A Call to Action for the Youth

New Delhi. Jyotiraditya Scindia, the Union Minister for Communications and Development of the Northeast, addressed the tech fest ESYA at IIIT-Delhi, urging the youth to become the architects of India's next chapter and to establish the nation as a global leader. He highlighted India's rich heritage, stating, “From the invention of zero to advancements in medicine and surgery, and institutions like Nalanda and Takshashila, the quest for knowledge is embedded in our DNA. Even Harvard's largest library pales in comparison to Nalanda. That spark still lives within us.”

Innovation as a Launchpad for Dreams

The minister described the event as a launchpad for turning dreams into reality, encouraging students to explore new avenues and innovate, as today's youth in India possess the potential not only for national development but also for global leadership.

Building for the Next Century: AI, 6G, and Quantum

Scindia emphasized that just as IT transformed the world 40 years ago, artificial intelligence is currently reshaping it. However, the goal is not just AI but responsible AI that serves human objectives without overpowering them. He mentioned that over 120 future projects have been funded under the Telecom Technology Development Fund, including quantum computing, terahertz communication, bio-nano systems, indigenous chipsets, and encrypted routers. Scindia asserted that India will lead in 6G technology, with at least 10% of global patents attributed to the country by 2030.

Development Rooted in Indian Values

He reminded students that India's progress is based on its civilizational values. Scindia stated that India is a nation that does not initiate wars and believes in 'Vasudhaiva Kutumbakam'. He urged students to devise solutions that assist farmers with precision agriculture, provide children with the benefits of digital classrooms, and offer telehealth services to patients in smaller towns.

From Brain Drain to Brain Gain

The Union Minister encouraged students who study abroad and work at prestigious universities to return to India with their knowledge and experiences, contributing to making the nation capable, empowered, and prosperous.

Three Golden Mantras for Students

In conclusion, Scindia urged the youth to be courageous, stay connected to their roots, and contribute to building India. He proclaimed that the next century belongs to India, which will achieve numerous milestones in these 100 years, with today's youth and students being the carriers of this glorious journey.
