In an effort to support extremely poor and Below Poverty Line (BPL) families, the state government launched a special public dialogue initiative titled “Apna Parivar Sukhhi Parivar”. This program took place in Gagwal, organized by the Rural Development and Panchayati Raj Department, Block Indora. MLA Malendra Rajan was the chief guest and engaged directly with families from Denkwan, Lodwan, Gagwal, Bhadroa, Beli Mahanta, and Majra panchayats.

During his address, MLA Rajan emphasized that the voices of the needy will be prioritized by the government, highlighting that addressing the issues faced by poor and eligible families is a key focus. He noted that under Chief Minister Thakur Sukhvinder Singh Sukhu's leadership, the government is committed to the economic and social upliftment of marginalized communities. Initiatives like Apna Parivar Sukhhi Parivar aim to identify the genuine needs of eligible families and link them with appropriate welfare schemes.

Rajan insisted that only those families in genuine need should be included in the BPL list to ensure that benefits reach the rightful recipients. He outlined various welfare programs aimed at supporting poor families, women, children, farmers, and other vulnerable groups.

He also pointed out that raising awareness about these schemes is a crucial goal of such dialogue initiatives. Rajan encouraged beneficiaries to seek information from officials to access facilities based on their eligibility.

During the event, officials from various departments provided insights into the eligibility criteria and processes for accessing welfare schemes. BPL families had the opportunity to voice their concerns and needs directly to the MLA and officials. Rajan listened carefully and instructed relevant officers to take appropriate actions in accordance with regulations, stressing that the true aim of government schemes is achieved only when benefits reach those who need them most.
