Alliance Air Flight Makes Safe Emergency Landing

New Delhi: An Alliance Air flight, with 40 passengers aboard, was forced to make an emergency landing at Delhi Airport on Friday afternoon due to an engine malfunction, as reported by sources.

According to an official statement from Alliance Air, the aircraft landed without incident, and a team of engineers is currently investigating the situation.

The flight, designated as 9I 698, was traveling from Prayagraj to Delhi using an ATR 72-600, a twin-engine turboprop model.

Sources indicated that the aircraft, which had approximately 44 individuals on board, executed an emergency landing after one of its engines failed.

The spokesperson further clarified that the flight was operating on the route from Bilaspur (PAB) to Prayagraj (IXD) and then to Delhi (DEL).

During the approach to Delhi, the Pilot-in-Command requested priority landing due to low oil pressure detected in the left engine. However, the flight crew did not declare an emergency.

The flight included 40 passengers and 4 crew members, all of whom disembarked safely after landing.

The aircraft touched down at Delhi Airport around 2:15 PM, according to data from the flight-tracking platform Flightradar24.com.
