Election Commission Dismisses Allegations

New Delhi: On Friday, the Election Commission labeled the accusations made by Congress leader Rahul Gandhi as 'groundless', asserting that the electoral body is not involved in any 'vote theft' for the BJP. The Commission urged its officials to disregard such 'irresponsible' comments.

Gandhi, who is leading the opposition in the Lok Sabha, has been vocal in his criticism of the Election Commission, claiming to possess 'conclusive evidence' of electoral misconduct by the authority, insisting that it will soon be exposed.

In its response, the Election Commission stated, 'We dismiss these unfounded allegations that are made daily. Despite ongoing threats, we encourage all election officials to maintain their commitment to fairness and transparency.'

Gandhi has compared the evidence his party claims to have regarding electoral discrepancies to an 'atom bomb', suggesting that its revelation will leave the Election Commission with nowhere to hide.

He expressed concerns about potential irregularities during the Madhya Pradesh assembly elections in 2023, as well as in the Lok Sabha and Maharashtra assembly elections.
