East Zone Pickleball Championship 2025 Concludes with Remarkable Performances
Successful Conclusion of the Championship
The All India Pickleball Association (AIPA) has successfully wrapped up the 4th East Zone Pickleball Championship 2025, showcasing impressive performances from athletes throughout the region. Participants from states such as Bihar, Chhattisgarh, and Jharkhand, among others, demonstrated their enthusiasm, reflecting the sport's expanding presence in the area.
Highlights and Notable Achievements
The tournament highlighted remarkable talent across various categories. Rajiv Kumar stood out by winning Gold Medals in both Open Men's Singles and Open Men's Doubles, partnering with Anukul Singh. In the junior girls' division, Prachenta Verma excelled, earning the Gold Medal in Girls' Singles (18U). Other significant performances included Deepak Paswan, who took home Silver Medals in Open Men's Doubles with Ranjan Kumar and in Open Mixed Doubles with Parcheta Verma. Aditya Gupta and Apurv Kumar secured Bronze in Men's Doubles, completing a competitive podium.
Winners in Junior Categories
In the junior categories, Hridhhan Goenka (14U) and Anurag Kumar (16U) emerged victorious in their respective Boys Singles events, while Vishal Nishad claimed victory in Boys' Singles (18U). The Junior Mixed Doubles title was won by the duo of Aastha Priyadarshani and Attulit Shrawan.
Enhancing the Pickleball Framework
To further strengthen the pickleball ecosystem, AIPA organized a Coaches and Referee Clinic on April 11 and 12, 2026, in Hyderabad, Telangana. This clinic attracted over 120 coaches and referees from across India, showcasing a growing commitment to professional development within the sport.
These initiatives are fundamental to AIPA's grassroots mission, equipping coaches and officials with the skills needed to promote pickleball nationwide and ensure a sustainable future for the sport.
