Drone Incident Near Israeli Minister's Home Sparks Investigation

Drone Found Near Itamar Ben-Gvir's Residence

On Saturday evening, a drone was discovered close to the residence of Itamar Ben-Gvir, Israel's National Security Minister, as reported by local authorities. This occurrence took place in the Givat Ha'avot area of Kiryat Arba, an Israeli settlement located in the occupied West Bank. Officials confirmed that the drone did not contain any explosives and was retrieved by the Israel Defense Forces (IDF). Fortunately, there were no reported injuries, and the situation is currently under investigation.

This incident follows the recent arrest of a 29-year-old man from Nazareth, who was taken into custody by Israeli police and the Shin Bet security agency. He is suspected of attempting to join Hamas and planning terrorist activities, which allegedly included a plot to target Ben-Gvir. Mohammed Awad, who was employed by a security firm in Afula, reportedly reached out to Hamas to enlist and acquire resources for his intended attacks. Authorities claim he was also preparing an assault against the minister.

In response to the arrest, Ben-Gvir remarked that this was the ninth time he had been targeted by militant groups. He expressed gratitude towards the Shin Bet, Israel Police, Israel Prison Service intelligence, the Magen Unit, and, most importantly, God Almighty for thwarting the terrorists' plans to harm him and his family.
