Drone Strike Sparks Fire Near Dubai Airport

In the early hours of Monday, a drone strike occurred close to Dubai International Airport (DXB), resulting in a fire. The Dubai Media Office confirmed that a "drone incident" was responsible for the blaze in the vicinity of the airport. Fortunately, there were no immediate reports of damage, and it remains uncertain whether any civilian areas were affected. The authorities assured that all necessary precautions are being taken to ensure public safety. A subsequent update indicated that one of the fuel tanks sustained damage due to the incident. Social media platforms were flooded with videos depicting smoke and flames near the airport. Emergency teams in Dubai are actively addressing the situation, implementing measures that adhere to the highest safety standards.

Residents in various parts of Dubai reported hearing loud explosions, with some claiming to see smoke and flames rising near the airport. Locals informed a news outlet that they heard blasts in the vicinity, with one individual noting that the smoke and fire seemed to originate from the airport complex. These reports surfaced shortly after Iran issued a warning to civilians in certain areas of Dubai and Doha, advising residents to evacuate immediately due to potential targeting. Iran’s Media Operations Center indicated that specific districts could be at risk within hours. Iranian state media suggested that the warning was prompted by the belief that U.S. military personnel were present in those areas. Maps released by Press TV highlighted three locations in Doha: Ain Khaled, Lusail, and Al Waab, while also mentioning unspecified areas in Dubai.

This warning followed statements from Iran’s foreign minister, Abbas Araghchi, who claimed that evidence had been gathered indicating that U.S. bases in the Middle East were involved in attacks against Iran.
