The award was presented by the Governor of Madhya Pradesh in a ceremony attended by notable personalities, including actor Ravi Kishan. Bhopal. In a notable academic milestone within the field of media and communication, Dr. Ankit Pandey has been conferred the title of Vidya Vachaspati (PhD). This honor was bestowed by the honorable Governor of Madhya Pradesh, Mangubhai Patel, during a prestigious ceremony.




Prominent figures were present at the event, including actor and MP Ravi Kishan, along with Rajeev Shukla, a member of the Rajya Sabha and vice-president of the Board of Control for Cricket in India.




Dr. Pandey's research focuses on the multifaceted contributions of Professor KG Suresh, a distinguished media educator, analyzing his over three decades of impactful work. The study elaborates on various aspects of journalism, media education, international communication, and institutional leadership as demonstrated by Professor Suresh.




It highlights how Professor Suresh has redefined ground-level journalism while working as an active correspondent in countries such as Pakistan, Afghanistan, Nepal, and China. His reporting transcended mere news coverage, offering a comprehensive perspective on social, political, and international landscapes.




As an advisory editor at Doordarshan, he strengthened broadcast journalism. Furthermore, during his tenure as the Director-General of the Indian Institute of Mass Communication, he played a pivotal role in elevating the institute to the status of a 'deemed university' and promoting linguistic journalism.




As the Vice-Chancellor of Makhanlal Chaturvedi National University of Journalism and Communication in Bhopal, he established new campuses in Bhopal and Rewa and effectively implemented the National Education Policy. He has consistently guided the new generation towards value-based journalism.
