Donald Trump Nominated for Nobel Peace Prize for Iran-Israel Ceasefire Efforts
Trump's Nobel Peace Prize Nomination
On Tuesday, US President Donald Trump received a nomination for the Nobel Peace Prize, attributed to his role in the Iran-Israel ceasefire agreement.
Republican Representative Buddy Carter put forth the nomination, commending Trump for his efforts in preventing Iran from acquiring what he termed the 'most lethal weapon on the planet.'
In his nomination letter, Carter emphasized that Trump's influence was crucial in achieving an agreement that many considered unattainable.
Earlier that day, Trump announced that China would be allowed to resume oil purchases from Iran, expressing optimism that Beijing would also increase its imports from the United States.
On his Truth Social account, Trump stated: 'China can now continue to purchase Oil from Iran. Hopefully, they will be purchasing plenty from the U.S., also. It was my Great Honor to make this happen!'
