On Monday, Tamil Nadu's political landscape intensified as DMK leader MK Stalin launched a fierce critique against Chief Minister Vijay and the ruling 'Tamilga Vetri Kazhagam' (TVK) government regarding the Cauvery water dispute and the arrest of opposition leader Udhayanidhi Stalin. He accused the government of failing to protect the interests of Tamil Nadu. According to Stalin, the TVK administration is diverting public attention from its inability to secure the state's rights over the Cauvery River and to oppose Karnataka's proposed Mekedatu dam project by targeting opposition leaders.
